We are proud to announce our third board game, Dwar7s Fall, surpassed its crowdfunding goal with 1622 backers worldwide pledging $82,479 USD during a 3-week Kickstarter campaign!
“Earlier this year, we did a small print run of Dwar7s Fall so we could show it off at trade shows - GenCon, Spiel, and Hal-Con - and nearly sold out”, said Konstantinos Manos, CEO of Vesuvius Media. “We knew we had a great game, but we didn't expect the community to respond to our Kickstarter with such an impact!”
Designed and illustrated by Luis Brueh, Dwar7s Fall is a super fun worker placement and area control board game where players take on the role of Dwarf King and prepare their kingdom for the long and terrible winter. Players collect gems, build castles, stock food and defend against ogres, dragons and more. The game is for 1 to 4 players, ages 13+, and plays in 30 to 45 minutes. The rule book is available in over 10 languages and players can learn to play by watching Board Game Brawl's 6-minute How to Play video.
“My wife and I moved to Canada from Brazil just over one year ago,” said Brueh. “Dwar7s Fall was inspired by the beauty of fall in Halifax... and our realization that there was a very cold winter ahead! I thought, how do people survive this? We need to stock up on food, we need to prepare ourselves, and I started to draw.”
The Kickstarter campaign started on November 11th and ended December 4th at midnight (AST). The campaign reached its funding goal of $4000.00 USD within the first two hours with backers pledging between $1 and $510 USD. All 22 stretch goals unlocked including new cards, game scenarios, custom meeples, a neoprene player mat, and more.
“Having the Kickstarter campaign happening this fall was an incredible experience. It was great to see the falling leaves from my window again and remember all these moments,” said Brueh. “I feel that I can not be happier than I am right now.”
