Vesuvius Media announces launch of Centauri Saga on IOS and Android
From online to board game and now you can play anywhere on your mobile device!

Halifax, Canada – Vesuvius Media, in partnership with Huminah Huminah Animation Studio, announced its popular online game turned board game, Centauri Saga , goes mobile. This free-to-play, massive, multi-player online space strategy game transformed into a series of board games, and now can be played on any IOS or Android mobile device.
“Centauri Saga started off as Universe Online, a hobby project of mine many years ago,” said Konstantinos Manos, Vesuvius Media's CEO and Lead Game Designer. “Now, with thousands of online and tabletop players in our game community, we are so excited that you can take Centauri Saga with you wherever you go, on your phone or tablet, anywhere in the world.”
Centauri Saga is set in the Alpha Centauri star system, where players build colonies, research technologies, escape bounty hunters, expose crooked politicians and command space armadas into battle. The game features both Player versus Environment and Player versus Player elements. New players are encouraged to join the Academy where they can learn game tricks and secrets from other players and the game developers, before joining an Alliance.
“Strategy games can be a bit intimidating, which is why we built the in-game Academy,” said Manos. “We are proud to be a community-driven company. Whether online, on the table, and now on mobile devices, we are constantly talking with our players. Our players help shape the future of our games.”
Centauri Saga, the board game, is available in the Vesuvius Media web shop. The Legacy Expansion, Centauri Saga: Season 1, successfully crowdfunded via Kickstarter and is now in production. For players interested in Centauri Saga's extensive scenario and story-line, A Pirate's Gambit tells the tales of Commander Jack Norton as he ventures through Alpha Centauri and is available for free online.
