This holiday season, we joined the team at Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank to put together food and toy boxes as part of their annual Christmas Hamper Program. The Program supplies a decorated Hamper (box) filled with all the ingredients to prepare a delicious healthy Christmas turkey dinner. In addition to the Hamper, each family is given toys to put under the tree.
With inflation and the increased stress on families already in need, the Christmas Hamper Program continues to grow, helping financially vulnerable families and individuals in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
